Frequently Asked Questions
If you cannot find your answer, reach out anytime. We’re here to help you learn calmly and effectively.
What gear do I need to start?
You can begin with any camera that allows manual exposure. Many drills use simple light sources and household objects. We provide optional lists for gimbal, sliders, and basic interview lighting kits.
Are there prerequisites?
Beginner courses have no prerequisites. Intermediate and Advanced courses indicate required familiarity, such as manual exposure, basic set etiquette, or comfort balancing a gimbal.
Do you issue certificates?
Yes. After completing lessons and passing short practical assessments, you can download a course certificate that outlines competencies covered.
How long do I keep access?
Enrollment grants 18 months of access, including updates. You can extend access with a discounted renewal if you need more time.
Do you offer refunds?
We provide a 14-day satisfaction window if you have completed fewer than 20% of the lessons. Reach us at [email protected] for help.
Can teams enroll together?
Yes. We support group seats, progress tracking, and tailored feedback for crews. Contact us to design a plan for your production calendar.
Will courses cover safety?
Every module includes safety context: lifting, cabling, working around stands, lock-offs, and communication with G&E and sound. Safety is treated as a core skill.
What if I don’t have a gimbal or Steadicam?
We provide handheld movement drills and low-cost rigs. When you later access gimbals, the balance and movement skills transfer cleanly.
How do assessments work?
Assessments are short tasks you can film on any camera. You’ll compare your result to a reference checklist and submit notes for feedback.
